Paragliding, Skydiving, Hiking, Hang gliding, Canyon Jumping, sledding, snowshoeing, skiing and snowboarding are activities available during the winter. For the less adventurous and families there heaps of famous train journeys, boat rides on either Lake Thun or Lake Brienz and lots of day that include amazing playing parks. There are children friendly hiking routes, with BBQ spots on the way. The 1st of August is National Swiss Day. The day has continuous events, parades and is capped off with a brilliant fireworks display at 10pm. Basically Interlaken has so much to do, I am still working my through the list. The safety, simple style of life and beauty of the place is why I feel lucky to live here. I truly cannot recommend it enough.
