    “Unexpected and Amazing”

Beautiful and peaceful setting - the gardens are stunning, even in multiple days of the pouring rain. This was my first visit and I will make a point to return often. A hotel, even very high end, should be avoided in lieu of staying with Myra at the River and Rose if she has availability. Personalized, peaceful... Perfection. What more can be said? Stayed February 2016, travelled with family

    “Wonderful Bed and Breakfast”

Very roomy and clean living quarters, addition to house has a downstairs living area with TV, seating and table where breakfast is served. There is a tight spiral staircase that takes you to the upstairs sleeping area and bathroom. King bed is closer to a queen but very comfortable. Proprietors are very attentive and prepare a grand breakfast of french toast, fruit and choice of meats with beverages. Be sure to have some written instructions with you to find this gem. My particular GPS had this location off its mapping grid. It is right down the road to the entrance to the Golden Ears Prov Park. Forested area of property is charming with splashing stream in backyard.

    “Delightful and delicious”

The grounds are nothing short of spectacular. Breakfasts prepared like she knows it's your meal on earth. Bed is so comfortable you don't want to get out. Bench by the river will flow your cares away. Five stars all the way!!

    “Can't do enough for you.”

We landed at Vancouver Airport at gone 8.30 p.m. and by the time we had picked up our car it was dark, pouring down and our GPS was playing up. Our UK mobiles were also erratic, but at 11.00 we reached Myra to tell her we were in Maple Ridge, but lost. No trouble....tell me where you are and what you are in and I will come and look for you. And she was very prepared to do that, but at this point our GPS belatedly started up and it was unnecessary. We stayed for 3 nights in late May and it is a regret the weather never really allowed us the pleasure of the river and gardens. The guest area is excellent, spacious, modern, private and hard as many B&Bs try to make their breakfast offering the best, this one was. The timing was also flexible to fit in with your daily plans. Myra and Al are very helpful, informative and we spent a lot of time chatting to them. It is hard to imagine how you can improve on this B&B.

    “People make places B&B”

Myra and Al are amazing people. They share their piece of paradise. This is an absolutely gorgeous place, very clean, comfortable and most of all very relaxing. The sound of the river in the background, the beautiful garden, the 5***** breakfasts, which are customized for you and are home prepared from the best locally farmed produce all create a very special atmosphere. The place where you feel you could stay forever.Thank you Myra and Al for your amazing hospitality. Stayed July 2016, travelled as a couple

“A little chunk of heaven on earth!”

Visiting River and Rose was like visiting a little chunk of heaven on earth. The suite was perfectly comfortable and nicely decorated. The surrounding gardens are magnificent, with lots of cozy, peaceful sitting areas. The sound of the river was soothing. The breakfast was delicious every morning. But mostly, Myra was an amazing hostess, welcoming me as if I were a good friend. Highly highly recommend! Stayed August 2016, travelled solo

    “Fantastic place to stay!”

I can't recommend this place enough. What a lovely couple Myra and Al are, they have made this into the perfect place to stay. Immaculately clean, the bed is so comfortable, the sound of the river running at the bottom of the garden and the spa bath just tops it off!! And not forgetting the AMAZING breakfasts, just wish we...

“A hideaway in the natural forest!”

You don't have to look any further....the only place to stay in Maple Ridge. Incredible surroundings, beautifully landscaped garden with seating areas to listen to the river in the background. Not to mention the spiral staircase leading to the second floor...the bed..so comfortable and not to mention the claw foot Jacuzzi bathtub and the view from the bedroom. The breakfasts were so delicious...there is a menu to choose from with your own special area on the main floor of your room to enjoy while gazing out into the garden. This is a 10 star B & B. Immaculate! Had a wonderful time chatting with Al and Myra. Will be back if we are down that way again.
