    “Wonderful stay”

I grew up in Cold Spring Harbor and return to the area often. Until now there really has not been a nice place to stay. Now there is! Three guest rooms in a well restored old rectory, right on the harbor and a short walk to the village. We had a wonderful four day stay. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to relax in a very quaint setting. Stayed May 2014, travelled as a couple

    “So welcoming!!”

Some B&Bs invite you to 'make yourself at home' but you never really feel quite comfortable to do so. The Harbor Rose truly gives you this experience. Deidre, the host, is so thoughtful when it comes to customer service and the home is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. Stayed April 2015, travelled with family

“Beautiful, inviting, delightful place & hostess”

The Harbor Rose is a beautiful historic home into which we were most warmly welcomed by Deirdre and her daughter Zara. Our room on the third floor was spacious, beautifully appointed, and absolutely clean, as was the entire house. We slept quite well, enjoyed the breakfast coffee and treats, and followed up on a couple of Deirdre's recommendations for places to visit, with great results. Deirdre is an exceptionally gracious and delightful hostess. We definitely recommend staying at the Harbor Rose.

    “Great stay, gracious hostess”

1st timer at a bed and breakfast, had a great 2 day stay at this lovely private home in Cold Spring Harbor. Our hostess, Deidre was very accommodating and the home was charming. Great alternative to standard hotel/motel in the area.

“Excellent location, a real comfortable setting in this historically appointed home”

Felt right at home. Amenities laid out conveniently. Common rooms decorated tastefully in period style. Dierdre is wonderful host who has a done a fantastic job restoring this former rectory. Convenient to attractions of Oyster Bay and Huntington. Will return.

“A Perfect Place For A Quaint Wedding Night”

We chose The Harbor Rose as a place to stay for our wedding night. We found this inn online after searching for a cute bed and breakfast out on Long Island, since our wedding was out there. The Harbor Rose exceeded our expectations. The owner, Deirdre and her daughter were so helpful when we first got there. Her daughter even helped me up the stairs with my wedding dress on. The little girl was not a distraction at all once we settled down in our room. She was very mature. We stayed in the Victorian Room, which I highly recommend because the bed has a beautiful canopy. And it’s very spacious. We had requested wine and chocolates. They didn’t have a traditional breakfast like a bed and breakfast has. However, there was a whole table of organic yogurt, cookies, muffins, fruits, and coffee on the downstairs table. There was even a table filled with wine bottles and you were able to take as much as you please. There was an assistant manager who was very friendly and he even offered to drive us into the cute little town of Cold Spring Harbor wherever we needed to go. We really appreciated that. The best thing about this inn is that it’s located in a really cute, quaint, and historic town of both Cold Spring Harbor and Huntington where there are a variety of cute cafes, restaurants, and antique gift shops. We highly suggest that you check out The Harbor Mist Restaurant. It has a great view of the water and ships and we even get a ten percent off discount off the meal for staying at the inn. If you are looking for an escape from the city and typical Long Island life, than this place is for you. It was even close to JFK airport. We are so happy we chose The Harbor rose as a special place to spend our wedding night.
