As we renovated the house in the spring of 2013 I had some ideas of how I would like the rooms to look but was pleasantly surprised when they starting taking on their own personalities as if they already had their own plans! Each room has wonderful Nova foam mattresses and individual a/c units to keep you so comfy. All of the architectural features in the house will remind you of a time when things were done with more attention to detail. From the transoms to the hand painted trim work Higbee House will remind you of another time. One of my favorite things about the house are the porches. The large back porch on a summer evening is amazing! The house itself shades the porch in the evening making it the perfect temperature for outdoor dining/barbequing or just sitting with a cool drink watching the kids play in the back yard. The front porch is perfect for catching some morning sun with a mug in your hand. If you get lucky and are able to come in the early fall to Higbee you can pick fresh plums or peaches off of the trees in the yard. We even have fresh herbs back against the fence to add to your meals that can be cooked in our full kitchen or out on the porch on the grill. Our latest addition (thanks to an idea from my kiddos) are the beach cruisers! One of our favorite things to do on a summer evening is to ride bikes over to SUU campus and downtown Cedar City. Last but not least of course we have great wifi with netflix on our smart tv's so you can cuddle up on the couch at the end of a long fun filled day and just relax.
