Beautiful location
We loved this old house and we loved the location. It was the first time we visited Tybee and we loved it there. The only reason I didn't give it an excellent rating was because we felt like it could use a little TLC inside and out. We had several members of our family staying there and it felt like home. The huge porch was our favorite and we spend most of our time on it. We would definitely stay there again.

A True Beach House with Character & Charm
Wonderful location and home, we wouldn't change a thing about this lovely old house. The wrap-around porch, the trek through the dunes to the beach, the sound of the waves and the ocean breeze making their way through the floor to ceiling windows, the smell of the cedar paneling, the rustic showers downstairs -- this is the stuff memories are made of. If you want something flashy, go book a condo. If you want an authentic beach experience, this is your place. Everything we needed was right here. We can't wait to come back!

Charming HIstoric House
My extended family spent a wonderful winter week at the McNeal House. I was able to choose the house and I wanted a cozy space that had connection to the area and enough room to house 7 adults comfortably. We were all very happy with the McNeal House. I loved the porch, the beds were very comfortable and the overall feeling of the house was just perfect. We all ended up really liking the "summer camp" type showers. Yes, you had to go outside and downstairs to get there but no one minded. Once you got there the shower is all wood like a sauna and the water pressure is wonderful. If you are looking for a boring cookie cutter Pottery Barn type house, it may not be the one for you. It is older and I am sure keeping up with the painting is a major chore, the kitchen is small like older ones are, but I would love to come back in the summer and open the gorgeous windows and let the ocean breeze blow over the dunes and into the house. It was just the experience that I was looking for. Thank you.

Weekend Getaway!
We spent Memorial Day weekend at the beautiful McNeal House! Our children loved playing on the porch and had severl intense games of ping pong! The house has such a historic southern charm and many updates since the description listing. The bath upstairs now has a full shower and is very convenient! The weather was perfect and the lot is private, so we slept with the full length windows open each night. The ocean breeze was so comforting! The McNeal House is a wondeful property for large families looking to celebrate a reunion or meet at a quaint beach just outside of beautiful Savannah!

Revisiting Old Tybee
Wanted my grandchildren to have the experience of the Tybee I knew growing up in Savannah. The experience far exceeded my expectations. My children and grandchildren had a wonderful time being near the beach and enjoying the porch...hammock, ping pong table and card games. The children slept downstairs (2 boys in one room and 4 girls in bunk room) and the adults upstairs. Would highly recommend this for a family get away.

Amazing house
just came back from 5 wonderful days at this amazing beach house. My husband and I wanted to have a family vacation with our son, daughter, her husband and 2 grandchildren! The house was just perfect for us. The grandchildren are both under 2 years old. They loved playing on the porch. We enjoyed the downstairs showers, but did not use the downstairs bedrooms at all. There was more than enough room upstairs for all of us. The porch was by far the best part of the house...with the floor to ceiling windows the ocean breeze was felt throughout the house. We ate every meal on the porch and enjoyed hanging out there in the evenings. I think we only turned the tv once once or twice...we just enjoyed being together as a family. We hope to return again next year!
